Event Management
One-off events can be difficult and challenging to manage. Finding appropriately
skilled and experienced staff that are available for an event is often the biggest
hurdle. Often events logistics fail or have poor outcomes because staff are asked
to juggle a project with their other commitments.
Urban Maintenance Systems have successfully assisted many of our clients in this
area, either managing the total event from start to finish or assisting with a particular
stage or phase of the project.
Urban Maintenance Systems recognises the important role community festivals and
projects play in building strong resilient communities. Over many years, UMS has
been actively involved at a local government level in the logistics of many community
events.
We have in house the capability, proven experience and resources required to manage
a wide range of events for our clients. Some of these include:
Traffic Control

- Liaison with Traffic and Road Authorities
- Major Road and intersection traffic flow diversions

Australian Formula 1TM Grand Prix
Urban Maintenance Systems is proud of it?¡¥s association with the Australian Formula
1TM Grand Prix. Having been involved in every event since the move to Melbourne
in 1996, UMS is currently into its fourth long term contract with the Australian
Grand Prix Corporation.
The scope of services provided by UMS can be categorised into two main areas being
Traffic Management (major road closures and localised traffic management) and Infrastructure
Services (removal, reinstallation and management of park infrastructure assets).
