Essential Services Compliance Management

As an extension of our facilities maintenance division, Urban Maintenance Systems offers a comprehensive “essential services” compliance management service to ensure that your buildings are fitted with required essential services and that they are being maintained to specific standards and frequencies.

In an increasingly litigious world, non-compliance can expose building owners to significant individual and corporate risks, including fines, prosecution, insurance implications, negative consumer reaction and poor public image.

Essential services are the fire and life safety items installed or constructed in a building to ensure adequate levels of safety over the life of the building. Essential services include such items as sprinklers, mechanical services, fire rated structures, paths of travel, fire hoses etc.

The objective of the maintenance of essential services is to make sure that every essential service continues to perform at the same level of operation that existed at the time of commissioning and the issue of the certificate of occupancy for the building.
