We are thrilled to announce that Demara Jackson stepped into her role as Urban Maintenance Systems’ new Chief Executive Officer this week. The team at Notting Hill offered a warm welcome to Demara as she made her way around the office, getting to know her new team, office and working environment.
During her first week, Demara will meet with UMS executives, before travelling around Australia and to New Zealand to meet with UMS employees at each of the depots over the next month.
Demara was chosen in a competitive selection process from a strong pool of candidates. She is a mindful, nimble, and passionate leader that comes to UMS with lots of ideas for the future growth of the business.
Campbell Walker, UMS sole-owner and now Non-Executive Chair, said: “One of Demara’s most appealing traits is her emphasis on the importance of engagement with both staff and customers, something perfectly suited to UMS.”
Demara brings a wealth of experience to UMS gained across complementary industries such as Petrochemicals and Engineering Services. Her most recent role is Honeywell (Building Solutions) Asia Pacific Sales General Manager. “I have watched UMS’ growth over the last ten years and have always admired its customer centric focus on quality and safety and I look forward to continuing this tradition that makes UMS stand out in a busy facilities management space, it will also be a pleasure to work with Campbell whom I have known for many years,” Demara noted.
Now in its 25th year of operations, this is an exciting time for UMS, and we are looking forward to this new chapter under Demara’s leadership.
