Smarter Service Delivery for Ampol’s National Network

Since 2016, UMS has been entrusted by Caltex Australia (now Ampol) to deliver smarter maintenance and management solutions across its national network.

Committed to doing things better, smarter and more sustainably, we started out servicing 65 sites for Ampol and now maintain the gardens, landscaping and facilities helping ensure a safe and convenient customer experience at more than 670 retail sites and 30 diesel stops across the country.

Due to the nature of the locations for some retail sites, UMS often has a full-time caretaker onsite to oversee the facilities maintenance on site from landscaping and cleansing the exterior to minor infrastructure upgrades as well as reactive and preventative maintenance services.

More recently, when Caltex made a move to reopen Ampol’s doors in Australia, our team was busy getting the grounds and facilities ready to welcome customers at its pilot site in NSW.

“It was exciting for our team to deliver the debut service at the site in Concord where our conscientious team put the finishing touches in place as news crews arrived to capture and share the story of Ampol’s return to the Australian market,” said Shane Burrows, NSW State Manager, UMS.

Founded in 1936, the Australian Motorists Petrol Company later became known as Ampol before merging with Caltex Australia in 1995.

The Ampol relaunch promises to reinvigorate a customer-centric spirit, community-driven mindset and quality-driven service model – all values that UMS lives by.

Like the Ampol brand, our Chairman has also come full circle with his connection to Ampol.

UMS Chairman, Campbell Walker learnt the true value of excellent customer service as a 16 year old service station attendant at Ampol in Toorak, Victoria and is thrilled that UMS is now working with Ampol as it re-enters the Australian market.

“It is really exciting to be working with a long-term client in Caltex Australia as it brings Ampol back to the Australian community. Taking pride in the urban environments we look after; the team is looking forward to actively delivering high quality maintenance and management services that uplift the customer experience at Ampol” said Campbell.

UMS is currently collaborating with Ampol Australia to coordinate a road trip from the west to east coast of Australia with plans to visit a range of retail sites and gain a thorough understanding of the challenges and opportunities on the ground. Watch this space!
