Working for Victoria Team give the Altona Yacht Club a Makeover

Hobsons Bay City Council’s Working for Victoria team freshened up their painting skills and local facilities are the beneficiaries of their handiwork.

UMS has played a pivotal role in the development of Hobson Bay’s Working for Victoria team, with a UMS employee initially being the only member of the team with previous painting experience.

At the completion of the project the Working from Victoria team had significantly improved their painting abilities and were grateful for their new-found skill.

The Working for Victoria team led by UMS made an overwhelmingly positive impact on the community through giving local buildings a welcome makeover, in addition the impact of the project on the people behind it has been just as monumental.

“Thanks to the Working for Victoria initiative the Altona Yacht Club is one local building that has been given a new lease on life. It was rewarding for UMS team to have played a role however the impact that UMS’s contribution had to the project on the people behind it is just as beneficial,” said Demara Jackson, CEO, UMS.
